XP was the original owner of the board, but he hadn't logged in for years. DHH was acting as owner and he hadn't logged in since around August of last year, if not earlier. Both accounts show that they logged in late at night on March 21st and suddenly the board disappeared. While they could have communicated and decided to end the board out of nowhere without telling anyone, my guess is their accounts were hacked.

I'm in touch with Hostboard about the possibility of recovering the board. If that's not possible, we can come up with a plan for returning as many of the stories as possible in a way that allows them to be seen without so many being posted that nobody reads any of them.

Depending on whether login issues with my own account can be fixed, I have saved a ton (but not all) stories from TF&SF Forum.

If the original forum cannot be retrieved, I am happy to help rebuild the story database.
